I just turned 72. Not saying when, but 72 years young. I had decided the Lord’s plan for my life did not include grandchildren long ago, and that was okay. My husband and I had two delightful daughters, lots of cats and a dog or two (mostly for my husband, not me), and I had classrooms and libraries filled with children as the years passed. If you’ve ever workd with children, it truly is a joy, a challenge, and helps to keep your mind young. Forever young!
So, imagine my surprise when my youngest daughter announced her pregnancy test was positive. As she was older, I tempered my excitement with restraint as we were not sure of God’s plan in this. When we departed TX, our plan was to be with my daughter and husband for the arrivel of a granddaughter. Doctors felt she might be early at various stages and sure enough, she arrived three weeks early. Wow! What an incredible gift from God. Not without challenges, but baby and mom were both fine. Those feet you’re seeing are hers-almost 6 months old.
As wonderful as the gift of my granddaughter is, God has given us His Son, Jesus Christ, as our Savior. So much more of a special, incredible gift to me, and it is a gift is for all peoples of all nations. John 3:16 says: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. With a new year is before us, I was just wondering if you’ve accepted Jesus as your Savior.
